L/Bdr Ben Parkinson MBE

L/Bdr Ben Parkinson MBE of 7 Para RHA is one of the most seriously injured to survive the battlefield. Ben has overcome appalling injuries to complete many challenges with Pilgrim Bandits including using a tandem to cycle across New Zealand and becoming the first double amputee to cross the Hardanger Plateau in Norway.

Ben credits much of his astounding recovery to the opportunities and goals given to him by the charity.

In 2013 Ben was awarded the MBE for services to charities and was made Freeman of his home town in Doncaster.

Shortly to leave service, Ben sees his future ensuring other veterans from the military and emergency services have the same chances that were given to him
